The difference between ADSL and SDSL is that SDSL service provides the same throughput data rate in both direction. This is often important for customers who may host their own web services or have other sites connecting into them over VPN.

SDSL uses its own dedicated line for the service which unlike ADSL cannot be used for normal telephony services as well as the internet service.

Our SDSL service is available with the following service add on options-

4 Fixed IP address assignment
DNS management for your domain name (includes SMTP mail pointers if required)
Web space in the form www.yourdomain.co.uk
Up to 10 POP3 mailboxes
*NEW*SMTP Mail fallback service (stores your SMTP mail in the event of link failure)

The above equipment is recommended by us for connecting your PC equipment to the ZAP-ADSL service. If you wish to source your own equipment then we will  provide you with your unique ADSL connection details only, and the installation of the router or modem will be your responsibility.

The above options can be used in conjunction with the basic ZAP-ADSL service to provide extra functionality to the service, such as network connectivity through a firewall or compatibility with an office  Exchange mail server. SDSL prices are subject to a minimum contract term of 12 months with an initial service deposit of 1 months service charges. Termination terms are two months notice on either side. Full terms and conditions are available on request.
